A luxury, on-location hat experience exclusively for attendees at the Festival of Showjumping, Caboolture. Saturday 27th June, 12pm to 5pm, located at the main entance.
Attendees select a premium PHYLLi hat base which is customised live at the event with signature trims and personalised detailing, to reflect the moment and wearer.
Hat bases may be secured in advance to avoid missing out on size or colour preference.

The HAT BASE
Your Hat Bar experience includes:
- Premium felt hat base
- Classic Japanese grosgrain ribbon band
- 100% silk lining and leather sweatband
Hat bases may be purchased ahead of the event or selected on the day, subject to availability.
DETAILING PACKAGES AVAILABLE ON THE DAY
Sizing
Add 1cm to your head measurement to determine your correct hat size.
For example, a 57cm head measurement wears size 58 hat.
The leather sweatband will gently mold to your head over time. Hats do not stretch.

WHAT IS THE PHYLLi HAT BAR?
The PHYLLi Hat Bar is a luxury on-location hat experience, brought exclusively to attendees at the Festival of Showjumping, Caboolture. Guests select a premium PHYLLi hat base which is customised live at the event with signature trims and personalised detailing, to reflect the moment and the wearer.
WHERE AND WHEN IS THE FOSJ PHYLLI HAT BAR?
The PHYLLi Hat Bar will be located by the Festival of Showjumping main entry at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre, Caboolture, on Saturday 27 June, open from 12 noon to 5pm.
Are PHYLLi Hats made in Australia?
Yes. Each PHYLLi hat is handcrafted in our studio in regional Australia by hatmaker Laura Hall using premium western weight rabbit felt imported from Europe, or handwoven panama straw sourced from Ecuador.
WHAT MAKES PHYLLi DIFFERENT FROM OTHER HAT BRANDS?
Every PHYLLi hat is blocked, shaped and trimmed by hand by hatmaker Laura Hall in our studio in regional Australia. Each hat is made individually using time-honoured hat making practices, not mass produced in a warehouse.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE STRICKLAND HAT AND THE WHEELER?
The Strickland hat is PHYLLi's signature felt hat, defined by a classic pinched crown silhouette. The Wheeler is PHYLLi's everyday cowboy hat, with a gentle curved 9cm brim and a balanced crown height that sits naturally from daily wear to country events. Both are available as hat bases at the Hat Bar.
CAN GUESTS SECURE THEIR HAT BASE IN ADVANCE?
Yes. Hat bases can be purchased ahead of the event to secure your preferred size and colour, or selected on the day subject to availability.
DO GUESTS LEAVE WITH THEIR HAT ON THE DAY?
Yes. Each hat is customised live during the event and guests leave with their finished PHYLLi hat the same day, delivered in a travel hat box.
How should my hat fit?
Your hat should feel secure without pressure. Add 1cm to your head measurement to determine your size (eg. 57cm = size 58). The leather sweatband will gently mould to your head with wear. CAN GUESTS BRING THEIR OWN HATS?
Yes. Guests are welcome to bring an existing PHYLLi hat for trimming and personalisation. However, a minimum number of hat bases must be purchased on the day of the event. For full details, submit an enquiry via the Contact Form.
CAN THE EVENT HOST SUPPLY HAT BASES FROM ANOTHER BRAND?
No. The Hat Bar uses PHYLLi hat bases exclusively. Hosts are unable to supply alternative hat bases for the experience. All bases are available for purchase through PHYLLi ahead of or on the day of the event.
