Find Your Perfect Fit
Heads come in all different shapes and sizes. Plus, we all like to wear our hat differently. To make sure you select the correct PHYLLi hat size, follow the steps below carefully.
How To Measure Your Head
To determine your hat size, measure the circumference of your head:
- Wrap a soft measuring tape around the crown of your head
- Position the tape one to two fingers width above your eyebrows and one finger above your ears
- Keep the tape level and firm, but not tight
- Record your measurement in centimetres
No measuring tape? Use a piece of string, then measure the string length against a ruler.
Important: Add 1cm To Your Measurement
Whatever your measurement, add 1cm to determine your correct hat size.
For example: a 57cm head measurement wears a size 58 hat.
While the leather sweatband inside your hat will help mould to your head over time, hats do not stretch.
Between Sizes (Half Centimetre Measurements)
If you measure between sizes (for example 57.5cm), add 1cm (58.5cm), then choose the next full size up (size 59).
To acheive a snug fit white your hat wears in, place a small piece of foam sizing tape under the sweatband until the fit is secure.

How To Wear Your Hat
There are two ways people most commonly wear a hat:
- Flat on top of your head, worn one to two fingers above the eyebrows
- Tipped back on the crown of your head, so the brim sits at the start of your hairline
Your preferred style may influence how your hat feels and where it sits.
PHYLLi Sizes (cm)
- Size 54 = fits head measurement 53cm
- Size 55 = fits head measurement 54cm
- Size 56 = fits head measurement 55cm
- Size 57 = fits head measurement 56cm
- Size 58 = fits head measurement 57cm
- Size 59 = fits head measurement 58cm
- Size 60 = fits head measurement 59cm
- Size 61 = fits head measurement 60cm
- Size 62 = fits head measurement 61cm

Yes. Whatever your head measurement is, add 1cm to determine your correct PHYLLi hat size. For example, a 57cm head measurement wears size 58. This ensures comfort and proper fit.
Add 1cm first (57.5cm becomes 58.5cm). then round up to the next full size. In this case, you would select size 59.
Hat sizing can vary between brands depending on shape, block and internal construction. For the most accurate fit, we recommend measuring your head and applying our 1cm rule. Measuring your head will always provide the most reliable result.
No. Hats do not stretch. The leather sweatband will gently mold to your head with wear, but it will not increase the overall size of the hat.
You can place a small piece of foam sizing tape underneath the sweatband until your hat wears in and softens to your shape.
